Today we are leaving Christchurch in a Subaru wagon. Our trip should be interesting. The five of us are not organized and haven't put a plan together. We're trying to ditch last minute baggage at the Central Distribution Center we have access to as part of the Antarctic Program.
Our departure day with the car is today, but we are only taking an overnight trip because Genevieve wants an extra night in Christchurch to organize and J has an appointment in Christchurch tomorrow anyway. So, this morning we woke up and no one knew if Marty had picked up the car, or where we were meeting or where we were headed for the night. Now, I believe Marty should be showing up with the car any minute and Genevieve (while she stays in Christchurch) is picking up some last minute camping supplies (ironically, while the rest of us are camping without those items (a fuel bottle, camp towel, etc).
Any last minute advice? Not that we'd take it; it should be a very disorientating experience!
