the tornado

While I was in South Dakota, two of my cousins' kids were talking about a tornado coming. One was fascinated and hopeful to see one, the other was scared to tears. That's sort of how I feel as I am organizing and packing. Part of me can't wait for the journey and to see things come together, meticulously packed in my two suitcases (under 50 lbs. each) and one carry-on. The other part of me is full of dread and worry that it won't fit and my time-frame is too narrow. In South Dakota, the tornado never came. Wouldn't it be great if I could avoid a disaster of packing, too? Unfortunately, I'm due for some exceptionally strong winds as I pack up to go!
